Halen A Pupur began as a dream in the heart of Tregaron, brought to life by Morfudd Pugh - wife, mother of four, farmer, and entrepreneur. With a love for community, good food, and local connections, Morfudd set out to create a café that was a little different: a warm, friendly space where people of all ages - children, dogs, and grown-ups alike - could gather, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.

From her farming roots, Morfudd has always championed the best of Welsh produce, sourcing locally wherever possible and keeping sustainability at the heart of the business. Halen A Pupur isn’t just about great coffee and freshly made food; it’s about supporting local suppliers, creating employment opportunities for the town - including young people still at school - and nurturing a sense of community in every corner of the café.

​Over the past two years, Halen A Pupur has grown beyond the café walls, becoming a beloved hub for locals and visitors alike. This summer, Morfudd is taking the café to the seaside with Halen A Pupur Ar Y Prom in Aberystwyth, bringing the same ethos of quality, connection, and local flavour to the promenade with a charming vintage food van.
